Carbon Labeling for Vietnamese Seafood

At Vietfish 2025 – Green and Sustainable Development: The Journey of Vietnam’s Fishery Industry, held on 20–22 August 2025 at SECC, Ho Chi Minh City, leaders, businesses, and experts gathered to discuss the future of sustainable aquaculture.

Among the highlights of the event was the sharing by Mr. Hoang Anh Dung – Director of INTRACO Holdings, who addressed the crucial topic of carbon labeling in seafood. His presentation explored the journey from international regulations to practical implementation guidelines in Vietnam, emphasizing the role of carbon certification in strengthening the competitiveness of Vietnamese seafood in global markets.

This initiative aligns with Vietnam’s broader commitment to net-zero by 2050 and ensures that sustainable growth is embedded in every stage of the seafood value chain.

By fostering collaboration between regulators, businesses, and certification bodies, the Vietnamese seafood industry can build resilience, enhance trust, and unlock new opportunities for international cooperation.
