Offering 454 energy-saving cookstoves to Can Loc women

The 454 women in Can Loc (Ha Tinh) who were offered energy-saving cookstoves in this phase are from poor, near-poor households, households with difficult circumstances, and households in need of use.

The Women’s Union of Can Loc district (Ha Tinh) has just offered 454 energy-saving cookstoves to women in Khanh Vinh Yen commune.

This is the first locality of the district to benefit from the program “Vietnam Energy-saving Cookstoves” with the cooperation of the Provincial Women’s Union.

Representatives of the provincial and district Women’s Union leaders and local authorities presented cookstoves to women in Khanh Vinh Yen commune.

Energy-saving cookstoves have the following advantages: increasing heat transfer ability, minimizing carbon emissions into the environment, limiting air pollution, contributing to environmental protection, and improving health and life quality for women members.

Through offering cookstoves, the program also supports women members with knowledge in saving energy.

It is known that, from the connection of the Provincial Women’s Union, in 2022, the Can Loc District Women’s Union was offered 4,492 energy-saving cookstoves (the production value of each stove is 300,000 VND) by the Investment and Trade Consultancy Company Limited (INTRACO – Hanoi).

This is also a practical activity that contributes to Can Loc women building a “healthy family” – one of the 5 criteria for a 5 with-s family – a model new-style rural area that the Women’s Union at all levels in Ha Tinh is implementing.
