See MoreThe Grouped Projects for Cambodia Improved Cookstove (VCS Project ID 2925) is an initiative designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while improving household health and livelihoods through the adoption of cleaner cooking solutions in Cambodia.
Under this project, carbon credits may be issued through the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) for the verified emission reductions or removals generated by the use of Ecozen cookstoves. These stoves are manufactured by Viet Charcoal Production Company Limited, based in Di Su Commune, My Hao District, Hung Yen Province, Viet Nam, and are distributed by the Sustainability Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company (SIPCO).
The Ecozen cookstove replaces traditional cooking methods that typically rely on inefficient and carbon-intensive fuels, such as firewood or charcoal. By improving fuel efficiency and reducing the need for non-renewable biomass, the project not only lowers carbon emissions but also helps mitigate deforestation pressures in Cambodia.
In addition to environmental benefits, the project delivers positive social and health outcomes. Families using improved cookstoves experience cleaner kitchens, reduced exposure to harmful indoor air pollution, and lower household fuel costs. The initiative further supports sustainable development by enhancing community well-being and contributing to better living conditions.
We are looking forward to start a project with you.
