See MoreThe Grouped Projects for Cambodia Water Purifier (VCS Project ID 3052) is a climate and community-centered initiative aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while improving access to safe drinking water for households in Cambodia.
Under this project, carbon credits may be issued through the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) for verified emission reductions and removals associated with the adoption of modern water purification technologies. The water purifiers are manufactured by Viet Charcoal Production Company Limited, headquartered in Di Su Commune, My Hao District, Hung Yen Province, Viet Nam.
The implementation and distribution of these devices are carried out by the Sustainability Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company (SIPCO). By providing efficient water purification solutions, the project reduces the need for households to boil water using firewood or other traditional fuels. This shift not only lowers carbon emissions but also contributes to the reduction of deforestation and indoor air pollution.
In addition to climate benefits, the project generates important social and health outcomes. Access to clean drinking water helps reduce the risk of waterborne diseases, supports healthier living conditions, and lessens the burden on families who would otherwise spend time and resources collecting fuelwood. Communities benefit from improved well-being, greater resilience, and a cleaner environment.
The Grouped Projects for Cambodia Water Purifier exemplifie how innovative technologies, combined with carbon finance, can drive meaningful change—delivering environmental protection, better health, and sustainable development for local communities.
We are looking forward to start a project with you.
