See MoreThe Grouped Projects for Laos Improved Cookstove (VCS Project ID 2924) is an initiative designed to cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while enhancing household health and resilience through the adoption of efficient cooking technologies in Lao PDR.
Under this project, Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) may be issued for the emission reductions and removals generated by the use of Ecozen cookstoves. These stoves are manufactured by Viet Charcoal Production Company Limited, based in Di Su Commune, My Hao District, Hung Yen Province, Viet Nam, and are distributed by the Sustainability Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company (SIPCO) under their project activity titled “Grouped Projects for Laos Improved Cookstove”.
The Ecozen cookstove provides a cleaner and more fuel-efficient alternative to traditional cooking methods, which often rely on unsustainable firewood or charcoal. By reducing non-renewable biomass consumption, the project helps lower GHG emissions, curb deforestation pressures, and improve air quality in rural and urban households.
Beyond the measurable climate benefits, the project brings important social and health outcomes. Families benefit from cleaner kitchens, reduced exposure to indoor air pollution, and savings on household fuel costs. These improvements contribute to healthier living conditions, increased household resilience, and better quality of life for participating communities.
We are looking forward to start a project with you.
