See MoreThe Grouped Projects for Viet Nam Cookstove Program – Phase 2 (VCS Project ID 3836) continues the effort to cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while advancing community well-being through the distribution of improved cookstoves across Viet Nam.
Under this project, Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) may be issued for the emission reductions and removals achieved through the use of TK90 and Ecozen cookstoves. These stoves are manufactured by Viet Charcoal Production Company Limited, located in Di Su Commune, My Hao District, Hung Yen Province, Viet Nam, and are distributed by the Sustainability Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company (SIPCO).
The TK90 and Ecozen cookstoves are designed to replace traditional cooking practices that rely heavily on inefficient and carbon-intensive fuels, such as firewood and charcoal. By improving fuel efficiency and reducing biomass consumption, the project not only decreases GHG emissions but also alleviates pressure on local forests and improves indoor air quality.
Beyond climate benefits, Phase 2 of the program continues to deliver strong social and economic impacts. Families benefit from cleaner and safer cooking environments, reduced exposure to smoke-related health risks, and lower household fuel costs. The initiative also strengthens local supply chains by supporting stove production, distribution, and awareness-raising activities that contribute to sustainable development and livelihoods.
We are looking forward to start a project with you.
